Perfect Baked Rice

This Perfect Baked Rice recipe is truly the best way to enjoy rice and change things up a bit with the usual side dish. The recipe is so versatile and we enjoy changing things up often to add a little variety every so often. You can add any vegetable to this such as peas, carrots, celery, etc. We also add cooked chicken or change the bouillon cubes to beef and add beef or pork to the rice.

The next time you are trying to decide what side dish to cook for dinner, give this one a try. I would love to hear of the kind of variations you try and what you find you love best.

Perfect Baked Rice

  • 2 cups rice (uncooked) – we like jasmine rice best
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp minced onion
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 6 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 6 cups warm water

Saute rice and butter for 10 minutes in a pan. Add onion and parsley, stir well. Pour into a deep casserole dish (we use 9×13 or larger), lightly greased. In a separate bowl, dissolve bouillon cubes in warm water. Pour broth mixture over the rice.

This recipe is also really good to add in vegetables such as mushrooms, peas, chopped carrots, etc.

Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Enjoy!
