Stuffing is a traditional holiday side dish. There are so many different variations you can find and I’m here to tell you that this recipe is one that you will not regret making, and will very likely be added to your family’s holiday menu. It really is that good.
Sourdough Thanksgiving Stuffing
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups shredded carrots
- 1 1/2 cups chopped celery
- 24 oz dried sourdough bread cubes
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 lb sage flavored ground pork sausage
- 2 tbsp poultry seasoning
- 1 cup avocado oil
- -or- 1 cup grass fed butter
Sauté vegetables until tender. Cool and drain sausage. Mix together broth and oil/melted butter. Set aside.
Stir together bread cubes, vegetables, sausage, and seasoning. Thoroughly coat mixture with broth/oil and pour into a greased 9×13 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until warmed.
