Orange Julius – Our Favorite Breakfast Drink

Does your family have a traditional recipe that makes you think of all of those great childhood memories? For me, it’s this. Orange Julius was our go-to Saturday morning breakfast drink. My brothers requested it quite frequently and even got to be the “professional Orange Julius makers”. No, they didn’t do a lot of cooking in the kitchen, but this was one recipe that they could easily master. They still get put in charge of this recipe when we have our family breakfasts. I’ve now taught my teenager how to make this and because it’s so easy to make, he feels like he’s contributing well to our family breakfasts.

If you’ve never had Orange Julius before, it’s a must! If you have had this, but it seems to have been a while, add it back to your recipe list and make it ASAP. You’ll be happy you did. If you do not have much of a sweet tooth in the morning, this also makes for a yummy dessert drink.

Orange Julius

  • 1 – 6 oz can of froze orange juice concentrate
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 10 or more ice cubes

Blend well in a blender. Serve immediately in tall glasses.

You can add more ice if you like a thicker consistency.

Enjoy!!
